Tuesday June 20, organized by Chiara Ortolani, Counsillor responsible for mobility and transportation policies in Rome’s Municipality XII, Mobility Scouts has been presented during the event Anziani e bambini insieme per una mobilita’ piu’ giusta (Elderly and children together for a juster mobility).
The main topics discussed have been inter alia: current unsustainable and health-damaging mobility patterns, desirable alternatives at the local level, the contributions civil society groups and organizations may offer and the empowerment of senior citizens to act as agents of change.
28 participants, including local decision-makers and representatives of citizens, elderly rights and sustainable mobility groups have agreed to meet again after the summer break to launch, also in connection with the EU Sustainable Mobility Week: mappings of the Municipality’s most critical situations, the collection of proposals to be shared with Rome’s City Goverment and Mobility Agency and pilot sustainable mobility projects.
